Recently I was camping solo on the island, surfing, eating well, and having a time. This came to an abrupt end when I partially tore my MCL in the water. Just after I got out of the water and was painfully removing my wetty, this California Sea Lion crawled out of the surf and onto the beach. This poor girl was was having a really rough time, and I assume had crawled ashore to die. I spent some time hanging with her, but there wasn't much I could do.
