The Dry Law - This ain't no joke

Heading into Arequipa tomorrow to pick up some friends / co-workers who are flying into the country.  Obviously we were planning to have a few at the local, but just found out about this horrific law.

There is to be no alcohol sold in Peru for 3 days prior to an election (3 days!).  The election is Sunday, and we get down on Thursday evening... So I'm sure we can find at least a few beers before they shut us down at midnight.

The rest of the weekend we will be well behaved... Unfortunately.
